some things are best understood through experience. theory/talking about it does help of course. but it's never the same next to experiencing it for yourself. we always say "put yourself in his/her shoes" but seriously, easier said than done. admittedly there is much imperfect information abound, hence try as we might it's not truly possible to properly empathise with another sometimes. sad but true.

recently quite a few people on facebook were putting up messages like "pm me a random number and i'll tell you something about you". it's pretty interesting (not to mention somewhat touching/revelatory at the least) that people have such positive impressions towards one another. got me thinking too about why most of us are so reserved about the positive things we have to say to one another. you know how during eulogies or thanksgiving, we like to sing our praises of others. why do we have to leave such words only till such reserved occasions to say? this should most definitely not be a case of "some things are better left unsaid" isn't it.

NS training sessions on monday and wednesday were quite the challenge, can totally feel the onset of weakness but at least that means that the initial growth will be relatively fast. aiming to reach 10 pullups (at least) before enlistment but that may be a rather tall order...i heard ocs requires really really imba IPPT scores. that's not good. oh well.
