3rd day of freedom! spent at home bleh.

went to workout for the first time in 2 months + today.
DIED within 30minutes. consistent effort is really vital. just like studies actually.
and somehow isotonic drinks don't really go down my body well, it sort of makes me feel worse. whether it's cause the drink is chilled or cause it's isotonic doesn't really seem to matter. point is, from now on rtp water > isotonic drinks. unless it's super strenuous exercise then i shall consider isotonic - watched this show What's Good for You, which says that isotonic only hydrates better than water in such an instance.
another tip, to all NS-going peeps (which will be most guys), YOU GOTTA START WORKING OUT NOW. if not BMT is going to be horrible for you, worse than any PE napfa training session you've had.

watched international varsity debate today on CNN. man it was good! especially since it's westerners speaking mandarin, and fluently at that! debate topic was on social networks and whether it has forged closer connections between people. gp essay prompt much no? the arguments put forth were very interesting and you can tell the teams did ALOT of research. look at the number of quotes/famous sayings they dished out! impressive. the entertainment factor was there as well, super funny...watch it for yourself if you can! hopefully youtube has it..

i like to go out alone. trivia: random websites whose credibilities are uncertain say that pisces people (that's me) need lots of alone time. not putting too much faith into such things but it's something interesting nevertheless. anyway, the upside is that you get to go anywhere you want, without having to consider whether the people tagging along are equally interested in following you or having to wait for people or that sort of thing. basically, alone = more freedom and autonomy to do what you want and arguably that is desired sometimes.

been trying to source for things to do over the holidays, besides meeting and catching up with friends, which is kind of a given. trying to find volunteer opportunities at places like old folks home for example but have had no success so far. if anyone knows of any such things please let me know, much appreciated!
also looking to pick up new skills, such as photography, ironing, first aid, driving etc...probably, this is the only period in your life (besides retirement) which you can actually do almost anything free of worries for the future. but well, there are some more mandatory things to see to, such as NS training and uni texts reading-up, but we'll get those over and done with in due time.

how absent minded can a person get? just yesterday i chucked something away that i bought on the day itself. it was a small item and somehow i didn't realise that i'd yet to extract it from the bag. then CHUCK and off it went to the rubbish collector waiting eagerly downstairs. a very painful lesson that will be sure to keep me alert whenever i'm handling trash in future. still, i would rather no pain but still gain..

two new k songs for today: Beautiful by Beast and Like Crazy by 2AM! youtube them if you have the time =)
