another update yay.
i think i sounded spastic of sorts but whatever...
well, had my first o level HCL lesson today. i bet i know what you are thinking now, my chinese is noob? yea i dont deny it. i think the last year has proved that, despite what i would like to think my chinese is really not the top standard that it used to be back in primary school.
in any case, i think the teacher (mdm zhang hongshi) is really good. her analysis of the past year exam topic trends and the actual exam techniques is imba, at least relatively to what i have seen before. i feel pretty optimistic about the exam, even though she says that past years have shown that 70% of people who retake deprove, 10+% stay the same and only the last 10+% actually improve. it's a good start to an otherwise unprospective year of chinese lessons ahead so i'm glad.
oh sian, i wanted to say about something but i think it's better not to. the consequences could be...dire. learned to better analyse marginal cost vs benefits i guess. economics at work. but i must say that my econs really suck. the topics are crossing each other so damn much that i'm totally mixed up. i guess now i know why everyone dreads econs more than any other subject.
ok crap, got chinese worksheets to finish and hand up tmr (trying to be hardworking yay)...just thought of the time management lesson we had for civics today, and realised that i've had this procrastination problem for the longest of time throughout secondary school and even now. i'm not sure how i'm even going to get rid of it at all, but maybe it'll just come naturally when i realise the seriousness of things. failing a couple of tests (which are luckily ungraded) at the start of this year is probably better than aceing them, because it tells me very clearly that my current studying methods are not working out as well as i would like them to, and hopefully wake me up.
looking at my current timetable/schedule, it actually looks pretty ok. heh sorry if you arent interested in reading through my schedule or whatever, skip it or move on to another site if you want haha. i just felt the urge to type it out... anyway, right now my routine is kind of like this:
monday: school ends at 12.30 (before PW kicks in anyway, in which case it will be an hour later). super free time before NPCC at 3.30 (3 hours woots), during which can go lunch at places like RI canteen (going back once a week is just nice to reminiscence), RI library to slack/chill/mug (last option not likely to happen due to nature of the ri library...) oh wait forgot to say that monday mornings will be having public policy programme too. haha.
tuesday: school ends at 3.15. no fixed stuff on at the moment, may use it to go library mug, go for any random cca stuff that pops up then, or maybe just go home and sleep like a log.
wednesday: school ends 12.30/1.30 depending on whether there's assembly. 12.30 would mean nice long lunch + chitchat session with the class/other people. entre at 2, last till 3+/4+/5, after which i go for npcc.
thursday: school ends 3.15, after that chi o level lessons till 5.30. most likely will go home after that, unless mugging season in which case it'll be hitting the library.
friday: ends 1.30, quite free normally, unless random commitments pop up again, if not will go hit the library to stone or hopefully mug to while away some time till like 4+/5+. people who want to mug but cannot find people to mug with might wanna take note of this. haha. think you may ask why not go home since it's so early, simple; i can't really do much at home. and i'd like to stay more in school to interact with people more. it seriously beats facing the 4 walls (and no com due to some lame curfew rule) at home.
i realised i like to talk to people about all kinds of stuff too! not just gossip or juicy news, though i wouldnt deny that they are very interesting, but basically i can talk about anything under the sun la. the only problem is that i have a serious lack of interested parties to talk to. most people just dont seem/arent very interested to talk about the more sensitive/private/uncommon topics. now if anyone reads this and finds that you actually share the common interest approach me k! anything is fine haha, guy talk, guy-girl talk, whatever talk la, i'm all ok =)
till next time.
